JORDI OLIVER
Jordi Oliver graduated from U.B. in Physics with a mixed specialization in Fundamental and Astrophysics. His background was complemented with Architectural Acoustics subjects on Architecture and Telecommunications Schools in the U.P.C. University. As a result of his first acoustic project; the design of the new headquarters of Gerhard Grenzing organ factory in 2004, Dr. Higini Arau became interested in his career, starting his collaboration in the Arau Acustica offices. Since then, he has participated in more than 90 projects, both national and international, covering Room Acoustics, Environmental Acoustics and Industry, on which it could be highlighted: La Llotja de Lleida (Mecanoo), Arvo Pärt Centre (Nieto Sobejano), Design Museum DHUB (MBM), Malta Mercury Tower (Zaha Hadid) or the Philarmony Szczecin (EBV) among others. He held the position of Project Director until the closing of Dr. Arau’s office.
From that moment on, together with Maria Jutglar, he started a new project, WS ACOUSTICS, a step forward in his career. A new path that draws on all the experience gained and with which he develops his particular vision of Architectural Acoustics.
His solid scientific background and long career are complemented by a classical musical background and an approach to sound art and how sound can affect the perception of environments and even oneself. In this sense, his projects incorporate elements of sound landscaping so that the acoustics become another element of the architectural personality of the building, creating a dialogue that maximizes the user experience.

MARIA JUTGLAR
Maria Jutglar, graduated in Industrial Design, began her professional career in the world of Architectural Acoustics in 2006.
Her training leads her to develop the tasks of defining and describing the constructive solutions of the different architectural elements, greatly enriching her knowledge of the acoustic behavior of materials. Specializing in the creation of 3D models and the use of sound prediction tools for room acoustics and environmental acoustics, she is responsible for evaluating the acoustic behavior of projects and verifying architectural designs.
She has worked on projects as prominent as the Tonhalle in St. Gallen in Switzerland, where she developed an innovative and revolutionary technological solution related to sound diffraction. Also noteworthy are the projects at BBVA’s new corporate headquarters or the Congress Palace in Palma de Mallorca.
